By showing companies the business case for mitigating water risk, Waterplan will accelerate their transition to a world where companies are incentivized to save more water, abate the discharge of polluting effluents, conserve watersheds and preserve shared value.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to join the Engineering team within the Product Department.

You will be working in a fully remote distributed team across multiple disciplines at a science-oriented company. At Waterplan you will have the chance to work at the forefront of our industry and you will be working with world-leading experts in water.

About your core focus:

As a member of the Engineering team, you will be directly involved in the design, development and deployment of new features that impact customers all over the world. You will be working in a highly autonomous team allowing you to decide the best way to implement and deliver platform updates to delight our customers. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert and mentor and provide technical support or leadership in the development team.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, accomplished frontend developer that loves coding as well as leading a team of engineers that are creating quality code that changes the status quo in the water sector.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Proficient in English (both written and spoken). 

• Has 3+ years of experience in developing frontend applications using ReactJS, NodeJS, and Typescript

• Has experience developing REST APIs to support frontend applications

• Has experience in AWS infrastructure

• Has experience in serverless architectures

• Can work closely with the design team to provide technical assessment of designs and time estimates

• Can interact with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

• Lead large development challenges from start to finish including technical requirements gathering, data modeling, technology selection, and deployment

• Can identify areas of improvement and lead the development of such improvements
