Role DescriptionWe seek a Senior Engineering Technician in Berkeley, CA to bring new equipment and products into production on the pilot line. As part of the Advanced Manufacturing team, you will work closely with manufacturing engineers, product engineers, build techs, and others to build and iterate on custom tooling and innovative processes. This role is an excellent opportunity to help develop state-of-the art custom tooling and assist with the development of new products!

What You'll Do:

  • Support the development and fabrication of custom fixturing and tooling. 
  • Help troubleshoot equipment and production issues as a equipment expert. 
  • Participate in design review, safety reviews to help develop high-quality equipment.
  • Manage the engineering development area by organizing tools and supplies.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years experience in manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience building mechanical fixtures/tooling. Electrical panel building is a plus.
  • Experience using basic machine tools: manual mills, lathe and welding is a plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment issues. 
  • Experience working with manufacturing engineers providing Design for Manufacturability feedback.
  • Technical degree in engineering or other related field.

The salary range for this role is $93,930-$115,845. The range listed is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and may be modified in the future. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
