Position Summary

Manage internal & external teams to design & prepare build sites for the installation & commissioning of our solid-state thermal energy storage pilot systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drive the development, execution, and management of build sites for Antora Energy systems.
  • Define & create plans, schedules, resources, and budgets for large, complex engineering programs and projects.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies, and critical path blockers quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure inter-team coordination and communication, including external engineering firms, EPCs, general contractors, and suppliers.
  • Execute detailed project tracking and documentation, including presenting regular updates to internal and external leadership.
  • Be the primary point of contact for the build sites, supporting needs across engineering, operations, and business.
  • Act as the primary interface with customers on matters relating to installation planning, access, and scheduling.
  • Travel to customer locations to drive readiness. Projects to be within California in 2022 and 2023, expanding across the US in 2024 and beyond. Domestic travel is expected to be up to 25%.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing the deployment of large energy systems in the field (e.g. solar power plants, energy storage, wind farms).
    • Experience with EPC selection and management, permitting, regulatory compliance, project footprint, site survey and prep, budgeting, project schedule development and execution, risk table and mitigation strategies, procurement plan, construction, stakeholder engagement and reporting, etc.
    • Experience working on-location at sites requiring power, water, electrical, gas, grading, foundations, construction, safety, transportation logistics, etc.
  • Bachelors in an engineering or technical field, or equivalent.
  • Empathy, sensitivity, and ability to effectively interact with a broad and diverse range of colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Qualifications Desired

  • Experience with high-temperature thermal systems and/or energy/power systems.

 

Salary Range:  $160,000 USD - $190,000 USD

Salary Basis:  Annual

The actual salary offered will be determined within the posted range based on a candidate's experience, credentials, and expertise as they pertain to the requirements of the position.
