Job Description

Our Mission

SPAN develops products that accelerate the rapid adoption of renewable energy in the home. The flagship SPAN Smart Panel is the first true evolution for the traditional home electric panel, harnessing enhanced technology for metering, monitoring, and control. Additionally, an expanded product suite of intelligent, integrated solutions radically lowers the cost and complexity of energy upgrades–including solar, batteries and EVs–empowering homeowners to be active, resilient and informed players in the energy market.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain Operations who will lead and direct all facets of supply chain for SPAN including, but not limited to, build plan and capacity management, material and build forecasting, supplier management, order fulfillment, logistics and inventory management, sustaining material and spend oversight, and strategic risk buy and buffer strategies.  This position will provide leadership and direction on a cross functional basis.

In this position, you will be:

  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with global supply chain partners to ensure supply continuity, material readiness, and overall supply performance (to include leading engagements, negotiations, supply agreements and quarterly business reviews).

  • Communicating regular forecasts to CM’s and suppliers to support driving production and inventory targets.

  • Overseeing the planning, management, and coordination of all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet production demands.

  • Managing the supplier tiering and risk rating process for the company.

  • Managing the logistics strategy to include vendors and routes to optimize for cost, and maintain oversight for material inventory levels by location, and material movement as required to support customer or production demand.

  • Leading the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Responsible for end-to-end purchasing support for SPAN to include PO requests, accuracy and invoicing.

  • Partnering with the SPAN finance team to monitor spend against budgets as well as providing forecasted spend analysis.  Supporting the visibility of inventory exposure and material costs across the supply chain.

  • Leading efforts to reduce operating costs and increasing efficiency throughout the supply chain.

  • Helping SPAN counterparts in driving quality improvements with CM’s and suppliers.
