Assistant Warehouse Manager

EcoBuilding Bargains is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse and materials handling operations at CET’s EcoBuilding Bargains store, the largest reclaimed building materials store in New England. EcoBuilding Bargains is a non-profit with the environmental mission of diverting usable materials from the landfill and providing them to customers everywhere at great prices. The Assistant Warehouse Manager leads the warehouse and trucking teams and oversees the safety, quality, and efficiency of warehouse and trucking operations. The Assistant Manager assists with training the warehouse and trucking teams on store procedures, materials, and usage and guiding the teams to work effectively to maximize efficiency and materials control. This is a working manager position, performing duties as an active member of the warehouse team in shipping, receiving, inventory processing, and other daily activities. The Assistant Warehouse Manager acts as backup to the other managers, providing oversight of retail and administrative staff when needed, and performs key holder and cash management responsibilities when the Retail Operations Manager is not on site. Acts a backup driver for the box truck when needed.

Who should apply?

• You have experience working as a lead in the warehouse of a retail store, with home construction, renovation, or design preferred.
• You work hard, can work independently, and have a great attitude towards people and our mission.
  
• You have great communication skills and we love it if you speak another language; Spanish language desirable.
• Experience with MS Office software and inventory/database software/systems.
• You must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally, and repeatedly lift 50 lbs. You must be able to stand and walk throughout the day. Please be aware that most of our materials are non-standard and this is a hands-on heavy-lifting warehouse position.
• You will have experience or will be able to learn to drive a forklift.
• You have or will be able to achieve your DOT license (non-CDL) and be able to drive the 26' box truck.
