Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

This role sits in the quality assurance team within OVO Energy Solutions, where we install energy efficiency measures in domestic properties through commercial contracts secured with social housing providers and other partnerships.These contracts cover the installation of external wall insulation, central heating systems and renewable energy solutions alongside associated works.

What will I be doing?

Key responsibilities include:

  • Quality Monitoring - Monitor adherence to procedures through regular checks on business practices. Support the business in maintaining records relating to risk and change management
  • Document Management - Maintain a document register to control the suite of documentation for the business and support the business in creation and review of processes
  • Process Creation - Development of process maps and supporting documentation 
  • Quality Management System Support - Support the business in maintaining the Quality Management System and external certifications to a high standard
  • Project Compliance - Provide review and guidance on compliance requirements to new initiatives coming into the business. This includes construction compliance like PAS 2030/2035, Energy efficiency funding like ECO and general laws and regulations like General Data Protection Regulations
  • Risk Management - Maintain a business risk register aligned to the business objectives and strategy and support the business in ensuring appropriate checks and controls are in place to mitigate risks to the agreed level. This includes business continuity management.
  • Reporting and Trend Analysis - Provide quality reporting and trend analysis to support continuous improvement across the business.
  • Act as Assurance Manager deputy as and when required (to cover absence/annual leave)

Take the lead and be the key contact for:

  • Funding requirements - Monitor the industry for new funding schemes and maintain knowledge and understanding of all energy efficiency funding schemes in line with business objectives and strategy.
  • Legislative/Regulatory requirements - Understand the legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to the business and maintain a register of requirements and business activities in place to meet requirements. Liaison with OVO Legal & Risk Teams will be required.
  • Process Support - Applying all compliance requirements to business processes and checking that adequate controls are in place to maintain compliance.
  • Business Accreditations - Support the Assurance team with maintaining accreditations in line with business objectives and strategy.

Is this the job for me?

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience and knowledge in trend analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing process maps and process documentation
  • High standard of skills and experience in effective problem solving.
  • Experience of building strong networks and managing third party relationships.
  • Experience in completing quality checks/audits
  • Experience in risk identification, assessment, scoring and controls analysis
  • Experience in business continuity impact assessments
  • Strong IT skills specifically in spreadsheets with ability to create reporting and conduct trend analysis.
  • Good understanding of regulatory/legal requirements relating to the installation of energy efficiency measures and associated funding mechanisms.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the installation of energy efficiency measures, particularly External Wall Insulation, Cavity Wall Insulation, Underfloor Insulation, Boilers, and Heating Controls & renewables.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Desirable but not essential - Knowledge and understanding of the installation of energy efficiency measures and associated regulatory and legal requirements, particularly the Energy Company Obligation and PAS 2030.

We’ll pay you between £29,960 and £46,740, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us! We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.
