Position Description

Business Development Representative, Residential New Construction

If yes, then we have an opportunity for you to join our business development team and contribute to the continued success and growth of our Aeroseal’s Residential business unit.  Over the past two years we’ve experienced rapid growth in demand for our duct sealing technology in the residential new construction market.  We’re looking for great sales talent to join our team and accelerate our expansion.

Position Description:

As the Business Development Representative for Residential New Construction (RNC), you will seek out high potential HVAC contractors focused on residential new home construction by networking, lead follow-up, prospecting, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients.  You will also work with our existing contractors to grow volume, attach rates, and market share for Aeroseal.  To be successful as a Business Development Representative you should be a driven self-starter who is able to build rapport with customers, close sales and ultimately, drive sales growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meet sales projections, generate ongoing sales opportunities, and achieve company and individual KPI goals.
  • Prospect for new business
  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities.
  • Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
  • Building business relationships with current and potential contractors, builders, code officials and market influencers
  • Attending industry trade shows and product demonstrations.
  • Maintaining information in Salesforce of all prospective client information.
  • Meeting all quotas for all activities (cold, active, inactive calls, presentations, appointments, interviews, etc…).
  • Maintaining a pipeline of all sales activities using Salesforce software.
  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting.
  • Become a subject matter expert on our products, processes, and operations.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the construction and HVAC industries, building science and remain up to date on industry education and news.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Expansion of our dealer network serving the residential new construction market within assigned region
  • Sales of Aeroseal equipment to HVAC and mechanical contractors serving builders
  • Growth in the pipeline of homes to be sealed by dealers within assigned regions
  • Drive influence, acceptance and preference with code officials, homebuilders’ associations, and home rater groups to increase acceptance, adoption, and recommendation of Aeroseal’s solutions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Management, or a technical field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years with demonstrated success in sales/business development
  • Construction or HVAC Industry experience a plus
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
  • The ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
  • A desire for continuous learning.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, Management, or a technical field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years with a demonstrated success in sales/business development
  • Construction or HVAC Industry experience a plus
  • Self-motivated and self directed
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
