What You'll Do

We're seeking a talented cloud infrastructure engineer to work closely with our development teams to evolve our AWS infrastructure. Candidates should have expertise with Amazon Web Services, comfort deploying and scaling applications using containerization technologies, and experience leveraging infrastructure as code tooling. Our business has specific needs around compliance and information security, so candidates with experience with SOC 2 and information security practices will be positioned well.

  • Collaborate with development teams to design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure
  • Scale current and future applications using containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Automate deployments and management of cloud infrastructure using tools such as Pulumi and GitHub Actions
  • Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and security of our systems
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including SOC 2
  • Assist development teams in evolving their continuous integration and deployment practices
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with AWS infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Pulumi and Terraform
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery practices using tools such as GitHub Actions and CircleCI
  • Comfort with programming languages such as Python and TypeScript that are actively used for scripting and infrastructure as code tooling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of information security and compliance, including familiarity with SOC 2 and FedRAMP standards
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and experience with network security
  • Experience working with remote teams

Compensation

At Synop, we consider a range of factors when determining compensation including your skills, qualifications, and experience. We expect the base salary for this role to be in the range of $150,000 to $180,000. Total compensation will be comprised of both salary and equity components.
