We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer with extensive experience in procurement for electrical and mechanical components and equipment for an assembly facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and equipment necessary for the production process while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the procurement of electrical and mechanical components and equipment from suppliers to meet production requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.
• Conduct research to identify new suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing with existing and new suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment.
• Analyze market trends, changes in supply and demand, and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize inventory costs while maintaining adequate inventory levels.
• Identify and resolve any issues related to the procurement process, including quality, delivery, and pricing discrepancies.
• Manage the supplier performance metrics and provide regular reports to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an electrical and mechanical assembly environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using procurement software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
