Frontend Software Engineer

Who You Are: Someone who is seeking to use their Frontend Software Engineer skills in a way that positively impacts environmental change.

Responsibilities 

• Translate the design and UI/UX vision into working code
• Build web experiences using React.js
• Build support for all screen sizes
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop features
• Own features from start to finish
• Work independently
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews
• Keep the team up-to-date in daily standups
• Provide mentorship to junior developers

Required Skills and Abilities 

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years building production applications with frontend frameworks
• Mastery of React.js and best practices
• JavaScript, Redux, CSS3, SASS, HTML5
• Babel, Webpack, NPM
• RESTful APIs, AJAX, JSON
• Experience with web standards, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and SEO
• Unit testing with Jest or equivalent
• Adept at problem solving and critical thinking
• Strong debugging skills
• Meticulous code review
• Strong communication skills
• Version control with Git/Github
