Haven: Energy Sales Representative (Remote)

Haven Energy is focused on accelerating the adoption of home energy storage through a two-sided marketplace model.  We believe that widespread, distributed storage will be a key part of our energy future

Haven guides homeowners through the selection, quoting, financing and scheduling of a home battery system install, and we pair homeowners with vetted, qualified electricians to perform the installation.  We offer a phenomenal experience for both the homeowners and the installers, as both are key to our long term success

Summary of Role

Haven is looking to hire the first Sales Representative of our sales team. As a Sales Representative, you’ll be a trusted advisor to homeowners who are looking to add energy storage systems to their homes. By guiding customers through the selection, onboarding, installation, and optimization process, you will be at the forefront of advancing clean energy adoption by helping homeowners manage their energy in a more sustainable way.

We’re looking for self starters who care deeply about helping customers, listening empathetically and making an impact. Haven’s customer experience is our top priority so the perfect candidate is compassionate and thoughtful, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

What you’ll do

  • Guide customers through a seamless sales and onboarding process with a concierge-like experience
  • Become a subject matter expert in grid-tied battery systems and the different ways that Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) operate
  • Take a consultative approach with each customer to identify what are their goals so that you can propose the best solution possible within their budget
  • Collect relevant information from homeowner to ensure pricing is accurate and installation plan is actionable
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals outlining the solution including cost estimates, installation timelines, potential savings and financing options
  • Own the overall relationship with prospective customers from lead through install
  • Manage a pipeline of customers through a CRM, tracking progress and communication touchpoints
  • Work with the marketing and product team to address customer concerns and provide feedback in order for us to continually improve the customer experience
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets while consistently striving for customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in customer success, sales, account management, or similar functions
  • Ability to assess existing electrical constraints and available space in order to properly set expectations for what is possible to backup and where the battery can be installed 
  • Detail-oriented approach to pricing out projects, accounting for all necessary adders and accurately estimating costs associated with the installation
  • Thorough knowledge of battery system capabilities and limitations to set appropriate expectations regarding what can be backed up with a specific number of batteries.
  • Strong communication, writing and information-gathering skills
  • Attention to detail when documenting and obtaining clear images of all relevant aspects needed for project sign-off, such as electrical components, space availability, and site conditions
  • Thrive in a fast paced, target focused environment constantly striving to ensure we’re providing the best customer service
  • Excellent communication and writing skills 
  • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate technical matters to all customers
