About the position
We are looking for a capable Product Owner to join our innovative Product Department. The Product Department is responsible for ensuring that our products have the necessary functionality to be adopted by our target customers and used by them effectively to make their vessels more efficient. They ensure our products provide our users with tangible value and an enjoyable experience. They act as a bridge between the Revenue and Engineering sides of the company. They analyse user, product, and business requirements, write specifications for necessary improvements, and collaborate closely with our engineering teams to ensure they get implemented. They coordinate deliverables and their dependencies using task management tools. They create and maintain the product roadmap and comprehensive product documentation for internal and external users.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in gathering feature requests, identifying user needs, incorporating them into the product roadmap, and working with cross-functional teams for the creation of new features that meet users’ expectations. The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a Product Owner or a similar role in product management.
What will you do:
Plan and prioritise the implementation of new feature requests and set specific timelines
Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria
Evaluate feedback, iterate, and suggest product enhancements to improve existing features and provide delightful user experiences
Plan releases and upgrades
Collaborate closely with product management, Software and ML engineering, designers, and QAs to define, implement and deliver functional solutions, new features, and improvements
Keep track of industry trends
Coordinate deliverables and their dependencies with task management tools
Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation for internal and external users
Handle the product communication to all internal and external stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
Technical background with knowledge of machine learning or data analysis is highly desired
BSc in Applied Math, Physics, Engineering or a similar field
Team spirit and good communication abilities
Good organisational skills
Familiarity with Agile is a plus
Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal
Familiarity with project management tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
