Join our Battery Team based in Bristol as a Facility Lead Engineer, supporting our Battery Test Facility, and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.What success will look like for you, as a Facility Lead Engineer?

As a Facility Lead Engineer at our Vertical Energy Centre in Avonmouth, you will be supporting our state-of-the-art Battery test facility, responsible for the high tech equipment across the site, including fit-out work, equipment installation, supplier coordination, and system commissioning. You'll be the main on-site contact for all equipment-related matters, establishing and controlling a safe working environment for personnel, including the production of processes and controls. We'll need you to ensure all equipment is calibrated and safe and lead preventative maintenance and corrective actions on the equipment and software systems. If any upgrades or changes are needed, you'll produce business cases and plans for facility upgrade work, including the provision of new test capability and infrastructure. 

What would we like you to bring?

We want you to be successful in your role, to achieve this, you will have first hand experience of manufacturing or test operations. You'll need knowledge of the health and safety challenges around electrical hazards, or preferably, battery manufacturing and battery testing. Strong technical knowledge is needed to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment, as well as experience in operating, maintaining, and, calibrating equipment and associated systems. Possess a degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or technical discipline and Ideally, you will have some experience within a Battery testing environment, although this is not a pre-requisite.
