Position Summary

Join our team as a Logistics Manager and be part of a company that values innovation, teamwork, and excellence in logistics management. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers while optimizing operational efficiency and profitability.

As a Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the entire logistics operations of our company. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods and materials, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to regulations. Your strategic planning and operational oversight will contribute directly to our company's success by ensuring smooth supply chain operations. The Logistics Manager role is a full time, on-site position.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Develop logistics strategies and plans to support the company's objectives.
    • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes.
  2. Operational Management:
    • Oversee and manage logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
    • Ensure goods are transported timely, safely, and efficiently to customers and distribution centers.
    • Monitor delivery schedules and adapt plans to resolve any issues or delays.
  3. Cost Management:
    • Manage logistics budget and ensure operations are cost-effective.
    • Negotiate transportation and logistics contracts to secure favorable rates and terms.
  4. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and supervise a team of logistics coordinators or specialists.
    • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
  5. Inventory Control:
    • Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock and maximize inventory turnover.
    • Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to optimize stock levels and meet customer demand.
  6. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation and logistics activities.
    • Promote and enforce workplace safety standards and procedures.
  7. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Track key logistics metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on logistics performance.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years  experience as a Logistics Manager or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time-sensitive tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Additional Qualifications Desired

  • Adaptability: Being able to adjust plans quickly in response to changing circumstances, such as supplier delays, transportation issues, or unexpected demand fluctuations.
  • Negotiation Skills: Effective negotiation with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms and resolve disputes.

 

Work Location:  Onsite - San Jose, CA

Salary Range:  $165,000 USD - $180,000 USD

Salary Basis:  Annual

This job posting contains the salary range that Antora Energy believes it would be willing to pay for the posted job. The actual salary offered will be determined within the posted range based on a candidate's experience, credentials, and expertise as they pertain to the requirements of the position.
