Who We’re Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced and credible Solutions Engineer based in the USA, specializing in sustainability and ideally also compliance. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of domain experience in LCA or environmental sustainability (carbon reporting/emission), coupled with robust software solution engineering expertise. This role requires a professional who can communicate the value of our highly technical solutions with the eloquence of a pre-sales engineer, supporting enterprise account executives in sales engagements.


What You’ll Do: 
  • Domain Expertise: Leverage extensive knowledge in LCA, sustainability, and compliance to support sales engagements and establish credibility with potential clients.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with enterprise account executives to prepare and deliver compelling sales demos that highlight the value and technical capabilities of Makersite's solutions.
  • Technical Communication: Articulate the technical aspects and benefits of our solutions to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data Integration: Utilize experience in data work to integrate various data sources effectively, ensuring comprehensive and accurate assessments
  • Collaborative Work: Engage with European resources and teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and leveraging cross-continental expertise.
  • Industry Transition: Adapt and apply consultancy or scientific experience to engineering challenges, embracing a pragmatic approach over pedanticism.
  • Multi-domain Understanding: Open your mind to various domains beyond LCA and sustainability, contributing to a broader range of projects.
  • Knowledge Center: Quickly ramp up to become a product and domain knowledge center, providing insights and support to both internal teams and
The Right Person Would Have:
  • Experience: Over 10 years of domain experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or environmental sustainability (carbon reporting/emission), with significant software solution engineering experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software tools and platforms used in LCA and sustainability assessments.
    Sales Acumen: Strong pre-sales experience, including preparing and delivering technical demos and presentations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively with international teams, especially European resources.
  • Adaptability: Experience transitioning from consultancy or scientific roles to engineering, with a focus on pragmatic problem-solving.
  • Learning Agility: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new products and domains.
