We seek a dedicated AI Product Manager to cover parental leave (1 year) and lead product development for our AI Experience Team, which is part of the Search product group.

This team focuses on leveraging Artificial Intelligence to enhance the search experience for Ecosia users. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in AI, Machine Learning, and Search product management.

Your primary focus will be on using AI/ML to provide our Search team with new capabilities like intent recognition, commercial intent, query classification, and instant answers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a clear understanding of the market, customer needs, and business goals to actionable product requirements, ensuring AI solutions meet customer needs and provide value.

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, working closely with the Engineering Manager and team.

  • Create and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility.

  • Work closely with engineering, design, data science, and marketing teams to ensure seamless development and execution of AI-powered products or features.

  • Maintain significant relationships with key stakeholders and external partners to support product development.

  • Understand the AI landscape and identify partner opportunities

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the performance of AI products in the market.

  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments.

  • Iterate AI products based on user feedback, market trends, and new technological advancements to ensure continuous improvement and stay competitive in the market.

  • Ensure AI products adhere to ethical guidelines, taking into account fairness, transparency, and privacy concerns.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a Product Manager in a technology-oriented field, primarily with direct exposure to AI product management.

  • Robust understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related technologies.

  • Foundational knowledge of AI algorithms, data structures, and programming concepts.

Management and Communication Skills:

  • High problem-solving skills. 

  • Advanced teamwork skills with an ability to get the work done with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.

  • Comfortable in making decisions under uncertainty and incomplete information. Ability to maintain focus in an environment with many options.

Research and Analytical Skills:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for AI applications.

  • Skilled in arranging resources effectively to guide data-informed decision-making.

Educational Background:

  • A degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field is desirable.
