CET is hiring a Program Consultant focusing on Waste Diversion! This position is remote with light travel in Rhode Island. In this role, you will work with businesses who want to reduce costs and improve environmental performance by implementing waste management programs such as generation reduction, reuse, composting, and recycling. As a Program Consultant, you will provide expertise, planning, and assistance to assigned waste diversion programs and initiatives.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide waste management technical assistance and program information to customers and prospects over phone and email.
  • Produce written content such as emails, newsletters, reports, web content, and/or presentations.
  • Assist with virtual and in-person events, such as planning logistics, hosting virtual meetings, recruiting speakers, collecting registrations, and networking.
  • Perform research on alternative outlets for waste materials.
  • Enter data into appropriate platforms to track customer interactions and results.
  • Generate regular client invoices and reports compiling metrics and progress towards program deliverables.
  • Act as liaison with vendors, partners, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Occasionally travel throughout MA, CT, and RI for events and presentations.

 

We are looking for someone with these qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience and written communications experience, or 3-4 years of customer service (phone, email) and written deliverable (writing newsletters, blogs, program outcome reporting) experience.
  • 1 years’ work experience in non-profit, environmental/sustainability, energy and/or waste field preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills and are able to draft clear, well-organized, engaging written material for tip sheets, case studies, blog posts, and other web content.
  • Ability to establish rapport with customers, clients, vendors and coworkers on the phone, over email, in meetings, and at presentations and events.
  • Excel at using Microsoft office. Experience using spreadsheets and other digital tools to track and report on data. Experience in CRM platforms helpful, Salesforce preferred.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with multiple programs and deliverables in a collaborative environment.
  • High speed internet access and a working location free from distractions and interference during business hours. 
  • Ability to speak Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian, Mandarin, or Cantonese preferred.
