ROLE TITLE: PRODUCT MANAGER – HIGH POWER CHARGING 

 

REPORTING LINE: 

The Product Manager will report directly to the Director of Technical Operations for Energy Solutions. 

 

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW: 

Energy Solutions is a sub-systems solutions arm of Artemis Technologies, responsible for the delivery of Marine Lithium-Ion battery and High-Power Charging systems. The group is growing its presence within the business and building on the technology modules developed in our vessel programmes, furthering development for the wider marine market. 

 
THE ROLE:
 

The Product Manager will be responsible for technical specification, delivery and commercialization of ATL battery products. The role will assume technical responsibility early in the product lifecycle, ensuring that the product feature implementation strategy is carefully planned and meets the challenging requirements of the market. The role will also give the opportunity to develop customer/forward facing applications processes within the business, liaising with the wider technical teams to complete technical studies and applications engineering functions.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

  • Guiding the technical delivery of high-power charging products, ensuring technical solutions meet demanding product requirements.
  • Co-ordination of Product Development work streams covering Requirements Engineering, Product Documentation, Certification, System Engineering and Test and Validation.
  • Champion the Voice of the Customer (VoC), ensuring it is at the forefront of Technology and R&D work streams and roadmaps.
  • Build out a customer focused Applications Engineering strategy, interfacing with in-house e-Mobility simulation & tool chain capabilities and leveraging to guide customer acquisition.
  • Taking the role of Customer Representative, supporting customers through the Application, Ordering and Production processes.
  • Participating in commercial contract discussion/negotiation, supporting the Sales Team.
  • Coordinating cross functional teams in Technical, Commercial and Operations ensuring product suitability, customer satisfaction and developing strategies to support meeting financial targets.
  • Identifying market trends, demand drivers, customer needs and the competitive landscape.
  • Managing the Energy Solutions product portfolio of charging product and identifying and developing new products / processes aligned with ES business strategy.
  • Incorporate compliance into product design and ensure ongoing compliance to create products that meet legal and regulatory standards while still delivering value to users, operators, and customers.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end user, operator and customer experience integration and dependencies.
  • Assisting the commercial team with pricing strategies.
  • Project Management.

 


PERSON SPECIFICATION: 


Education/Qualifications and Experience: 
 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering field.
  • 3-5 years’ technical experience and expertise in Lithium-Ion battery technology, Energy Storage and Charging Solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Product Management or Applications Engineering, preferably in the e-Mobility sector (B2B).

  • Effective presentation Skills and knowledge/experience in offer & contract negotiation and management.
