Afternoon shift – 1.45pm to 10.00pm

As directed by the Team Leader or designated cover to attend and operate (load, start, stop and clean) production machinery and ancillary equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

To ensure:

  • Product is packed and labelled according to Packaging Specification
  • Product conforms to the Quality Specification
  • The Workstation and surrounding area is kept in a clean and safe condition
  • Training of other operating staff to SOP’S as directed by the Team Leader
  • Assistance in doing tool and die changes on the thermoforming machines
  • Any other general duties as directed are completed
  • Look out for the Health and Safety of yourself and others on site
  • Any other general duties as directed

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of NCEA level 1 and completion of year 11 at secondary school

TRAINING / EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to Interpret Production Plans and Manufacturing Orders
  • Ability to interpret Quality Specifications and procedures
  • Can demonstration written, oral and communication skills in line with the requirements of the role

Desirable:

  • Operating experience in a plastics extrusion and thermoforming environment
  • Can demonstrate a level of mechanical aptitude
  • Current Forklift Certificate
  • Previous shift work experience
