At our Granville site, we produce steel drums that meet the most stringent requirements for products ranging from industrial chemicals through to food and pharmaceuticals. We provide steel drum reconditioning and can offer complete site management and innovative systems that can produce reconditioned steel drums to the highest standards in Australasia.

We are seeking our new Maintenance Assistant who will support the planning of and day to day carrying out of maintenance at PACTS’s Granville site. You will also providing  work on Electrical Safety Audits as well as improvements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Attend and address site asset electrical breakdowns to rectify problems
  • Maintain electrical spare parts inventory
  • Manage and maintain the MEX maintenance schedule for the Granville site
  • Raise and Issue MEX Works Orders from Requests
  • Coordinate and balance workload for site Trades and Contractors
  • Assign scheduled tasks and mechanical breakdown tasks to site Trades and Contractors
  • Attend and address site asset electrical breakdowns to rectify problems
  • Lead and or participate in cross functional Continuous Improvement Projects to achieve improved Safety, Productivity, Quality & Reliability
  • Assist the business in its corporate and social responsibility of providing a safe work environment by active participation in safety programs and communicating progress on achievements.
  • Maintain quality standards and controls to manufacture and produce packaging solutions that meet customer expectations and requirements
  • Ensure that work is carried out in a safe working manner (Take5 & LOTO) and maintaining safe working environments.
  • Issuing and amending SOPs.

About you

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Electrical certification
  •  Two (2) years experience in manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of OEE, Root Cause Analysis and TPM operations
  • Experience with MEX or equivalent maintenance operating system
