The Role

Xos is looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about ensuring top-quality products and delivering excellence. You will thrive in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and technical expertise are key. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. Your focus will be on supporting the final assembly of vehicles by performing meticulous electrical and mechanical inspections and rework.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Ensure all electrical and mechanical open items are addressed and closed
  • Conduct visual inspections on parts and equipment to ensure they meet quality standards, identifying non-conformance when necessary
  • Perform routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, and industry standards
  • Carry out in-process and final inspections and/or installations of electromechanical final and sub-assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Utilize tools such as tape, calipers, and micrometers
  • Record data and findings from inspections with a high level degree of accuracy and detail
  • Conduct technical quality assurance inspections and use results to enhance production processes and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a vehicle assembly environment.
  • Thorough understanding of technical components and processes involved in vehicle and battery assembly 
  • Proficient in conducting technical quality assurance inspections and using results to improve production processes
  • Solid computer skills and demonstrated knowledge of GSuite and Microsoft Office required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic math skills

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs regularly
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects and tools
  • Ability to work in various positions, including bending, kneeling, and reaching

Work Environment

  • Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing setting
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required by company safety policies
