Scope3 has significant market traction with more than 70+ customers and is experiencing accelerated growth.

Scope3 is a fully remote company and largely asynchronous to provide flexible working hours and to operate globally, with concentrations in New York and Europe. At this time, we are hiring in Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, and the United States.

About the Role

As Business Development Director for Media Owners, you will lead the charge in establishing partnerships with the region's top media organisations.

Reporting directly to the Head of UK and Northern Europe, you will build and cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers at major media owners. You will also develop and implement collaborative business strategies that drive mutual growth and promote the wider adoption of their sustainable media solutions. Your expertise in navigating complex organisations, recognising high-value opportunities, and devising innovative approaches will be crucial as you work with media owners to present their green offerings to brands and agencies, assisting their efforts to decarbonise their marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the adoption of Scope3’s global solutions across strategic media owners in the UK and Northern Europe
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with senior executives within leading media owners
  • Develop and execute joint business plans with media owners, focusing on mutual goals and significant revenue growth across their green offerings
  • Enable and train media owners’ commercial teams to build partnerships based on green offerings with brands and agencies
  • Advocate for the Scope3’s mission and solutions within the media owner category, promoting sustainable advertising practices through participation in industry events, content creation, and client engagements. Be the company’s internal media owner expert - effectively communicate industry trends

Experience:

  • An inherent interest in sustainability and alignment with Scope3’s mission and corporate culture, contributing positively to our team dynamics and organisational ethos
  • 7+ years of experience in digital advertising sales / partnerships, with a proven track record of consistently achieving commercial revenue targets as both an individual contributor and sales / business development leader
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and media owner, brand, and media agency business models
  • An established network of senior-level relationships with top-tier media owners in the region
  • Strong analytical capabilities, both strategic and creative, with the ability to apply this insight to drive business growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively articulating Scope3’s value proposition and inspiring stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and develop diverse and high-performing teams
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across different functions, demonstrating a deep curiosity about global business dynamics and an aptitude for understanding regional and cultural nuances
  • Agility and openness to the challenges of scaling a new business, with a comfortable approach to risk, uncertainty, and ambiguity
