Your Role

For this role, we are looking for experienced engineers with a strong product mindset and a passion for helping others succeed.

Your responsibilities will lie in three key areas:

  • Engineering: Solve our most challenging engineering challenges and make sure your team has the best possible data model and abstractions to work with. This job comes with full technical ownership of one or multiple of our modules. You should not be afraid "to get your hands dirty" and should have a strong desire to help us solve our most difficult implementation challenges.
  • Product: Support our product managers effectively prioritize by giving guidance on alternative approaches and relative implementation difficulty of solutions, as well as oversee the technical execution of complex projects.
  • Leadership: Help the engineers on your team succeed at Tanso long term by offering helpful performance reviews and guidance.

How We Work

Our product provides a unique combination of a rapidly evolving market and product combined with high standards for quality and stability that come with building tools for large enterprises. Our tech stack and mindset reflect this duality. For example: We ship multiple times per day, but have SLAs north of 99.5 percent. Our tech stack allows us to ship new features extremely quickly, yet our database tables contain millions of records.

As engineers, we are hugely passionate about the tools that we build with. Some of them are:

  • trpc.io and Prisma ORM for seamless type safety from database to frontend.
  • Bun for scripts and utilities (hopefully migrating our production applications soon)
  • Tailwind, React and Nextjs
  • Postgresql and Azure as the rock solid foundation

Of course, our tech stack is constantly evolving as our requirements shift. We are always happy to incorporate input from new hires on tools that they are passionate about.
