About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and passionate product-minded engineering leader to guide our global engineering team and play a pivotal role in shaping Ridepanda’s technology and engineering culture. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for our global tech team, aligning closely with company objectives.
• Collaborate closely with and lead cross-functional partners across engineering, product, design, and data teams to develop and execute ambitious product roadmaps.
• Foster an inclusive culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation within engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Manage and mentor a distributed team, supporting their professional growth and promoting collaboration and work-life balance.
• Champion engineering best practices, code quality, iterative feature improvement, testing, and performance optimization.
• Maintain technical fluency with the codebase, performing code reviews, architectural oversight, and contributing hands-on when necessary.
• Partner with leadership to recruit, retain, and develop outstanding engineering talent.
• Effectively communicate technical vision and project progress to stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in web application development, ideally with experience in our stack (Ruby, Rails, TypeScript, React, Google Cloud).
• Proven ability to manage DevOps and infrastructure teams.
• Experience successfully leading remote, globally distributed engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience embedding them within engineering practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; adept at building trusted relationships across diverse teams.
• Passion for sustainable transportation and enthusiasm for Ridepanda’s mission to transform urban mobility.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps and infrastructure is a strong plus.
