About the Role

Our Senior Data Scientist will analyze and interpret complex data to help Anza make informed decisions and solve problems. This role will be reporting to our Director of Applications Development

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Develop data models, reports, and dashboards from requirements through production
  • Integrate and transform data for analysis using SQL, ETL tools, and API integrations
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
  • Build a data catalog, and data dictionary and make data searchable for our stakeholders and users
  • Build and manage our ETL pipelines using Fivetran and other tools to ensure a streamlined and accurate flow of information into our data warehouse (BigQuery)
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

While no one individual will possess them all, the successful candidate will bring many of the following experiences, skills, and attributes: 

  • Bachelors in computer science or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience 
  • 8+ years of SQL experience
  • Technical expertise in data modeling and database design
  • Experience with business intelligence software
  • At Least 8+ years of experience with Tableau / Looker / PowerBI
  • 4+ years of Experience building and optimizing Google BigQuery data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
