Role Purpose

As a Treasury Analyst at Wood Mackenzie, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial resources and ensuring efficient cash flow operations. Reporting to the Treasury Manager, you will collaborate with various teams to optimize cash management, monitor financial risks, and contribute to strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Flow Management: Forecast, monitor, and manage daily cash flows to ensure liquidity needs are met and excess funds are invested appropriately.
  • Banking Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, ensuring efficient banking services, optimal fee structures, and compliance with banking agreements.
  • Cash Forecasting: Develop accurate short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts, supporting the organization's financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks related to currency fluctuations, interest rates, and market volatility. Recommend strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Treasury Operations: Execute daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, fund transfers, and reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare treasury-related reports, presentations, and analyses for senior management and internal stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and reporting requirements related to treasury activities.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance treasury processes, systems, and controls to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

About You

  • Minimum of two years’ experience of working in an global treasury environment, managing lenders and driving process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Strong technical foundation in Treasury and Cash Management, including comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments and financial markets.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to grasp both the finer details and the broader company-wide perspective.
  • Skill in prioritizing tasks effectively and maintaining a clear focus.
  • Excellent collaboration skills for working with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for building from the ground up and driving continuous improvement.
