We are looking for a highly motivated Risk Analyst (f/d/m) in our office in Berlin. You’ll work closely with our Chief Impact Officer, the Impact team and in a very fast-moving and VC-funded startup. YOUR TASKS
  • Collect, structure, analyse and maintain Voluntary Carbon market data to identify risk drivers, general patterns and formulate recommendations to mitigate risk
  • Liaise with different teams (within CEEZER) and external stakeholders to collect risk, systemise and structure risk data
  • Forecast and monitor carbon market trends that influence risk perception and evaluation of carbon projects
  • Research to assess the materiality of risk and additional risk drivers in the carbon markets 
  • Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate carbon project risk
  • Propose risk model (algorithm) to automise risk assessment process
  • Liaise with Product team to communicate risk to buyers through CEEZER platform
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • 2+ years experience in risk management / data analytics
  • Carbon market expertise, including experience in carbon market data, relevant quality concepts (e.g. additionality) and carbon project documentation
  • Experience in writing performant SQL queries and working with relational databases
  • Expertise in BI Solutions (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong numeracy, analytical and strategy skills
  • Good research and writing skills
  • The ability to explain complex issues and present technical information clearly
