About this opportunity

Reporting to Head of Planning & Optimisation the Demand Planning & S&OP Lead is responsible for leading demand planning across Pact Packaging and Pact Contract Managment and will be a subject matter expert, coaching Pact's demand planners to align and bring practices to demand planning and delivering business goals. As Demand Planning & S&OP Lead you will of course drive process and system optimisation across the Supply Chain through continuous improvement and will coordinate cross functional teams to review performance and deliver business goals.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Demand Planning
  • Performance analysis targeting gaps and identifying solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Continually review performance to identify and implement cost improvements.
  • Support the divisional General Managers in budget preparation via demand forecasting and analysis.
  • Lead and deliver process and system continuous improvements.
  • Maintain and work with the Sales team to implement Customer Management Principles and Customer Order Management processes, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Ensure the Forecast and Demand Reviews are completed monthly with the Sales Team, achieving an approved forecast, and gap-to-budget planning is completed.
  • Develop collaborative sales forecast that aligns and drives one set of numbers throughout the business.
  • Build a robust and disciplined demand planning process 
  • Lead and drive best practice Demand Management disciplines, principles, and behaviours.
  • Development of strategies to improve forecast accuracy and drive improved customer fulfilment.
  • Coach and build the demand planning capability across business units 

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Solid experience in demand planning leadership with process improvement experience desirable.
  • Strong matrix and global organisation management, demonstrating relationship management skills with excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to influence cross-functionally. 
  • Experience in using and improving systems (SAP preferred).
  • Experience in implementing advanced forecasting systems – ML, statistical forecast, etc
  • Demonstrated success in driving change management, process excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills, rational decision-making, objectivity, creativity, negotiation skills, and a strategic thinker with a long-term view.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence those outside of direct reporting lines.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment by being agile, responsive, and good under pressure.
