Beyond Meat is currently seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join ourOperations Teamas a Value Stream Project Manager. The Value StreamProject Manager plays an important role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our value streams by overseeing project initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, and implementing process improvements.  
 
We are seeking an innovative, data driven, highly communicative, purposeful Value Stream Project Manager who will focus on delivering value through streamlined processes and optimized project delivery for Beyond Meat.  


TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Map, analyze, and optimize value streams to enhance process flow and eliminate waste. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of value stream activities with organizational goals. 
  • Continuously assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of value streams.  
  • Lead and manage projects within the value streams from initiation to completion, defining critical milestones, resource planning, development of business cases, and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. 
  • Engage with key stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives. 
  • Develop project objectives, roles, responsibilities, plans, milestones, schedules, and budgets within a detailed project plan; monitor project progress and adjust as necessary for on-time delivery and/or budget. 
  • Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. 
  • Facilitate relationship and communication between teams and stakeholders, ensuring that project goals are clearly understood and met for delivering to scope satisfaction. 
  • Manage issues and align cross functional teams by leveraging subject matter expertise; proactively identifying and mitigating risks to deliver expected results on time. 
  • Present frequent and transparent project updates, performance metrics, and improvement plans to senior leadership and all stakeholders while managing expectations. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within value streams using Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. 
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the value streams and develop strategies to address them. 
  • Implement performance measurement systems to track the effectiveness of improvements. 
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of value stream projects. 
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project performance, including successes, challenges, and areas for improvement while aligning business objectives and project expectations. 
  • Define resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation – both internal and third party 
  • Collaborate with discipline leads to develop comprehensive resource models and risk mitigation plans. 
  • Manage issues and align cross functional teams by leveraging subject matter expertise; proactively identifying and mitigating risks to deliver expected results on time. 

QUALIFICATIONS - Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain or a related field
  • Relevant certification (i.e. PMP, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus 
  • CPG experience preferred 
  • 2-3 years of project management experience, with a focus on value stream mapping, process improvement, or operations management 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; strong problem-solving abilities  
  • Proficient is MS Office, Outlook, Smartsheet, and other spreadsheet and project management software such as MS Project, Palantir, etc. 
  • Proficient in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma 
  • Thorough understanding of Waterfall and Agile Project Management methodologies preferred 
  • Financial acumen to support P&L development, review, and tracking 
  • Supervise and collaborate with project stakeholders 
  • Adept at working and facilitating within cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment involving Supply Chain, Operations, R&D (Research and Development), Creative, Finance, and Marketing 
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide teams towards successful project completion 
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance measurement to identify opportunities for improvement  
  • Experience with Project Retrospection or Postmortems 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be on-site 5 days per week at our El Segundo, CA headquarters 
  • Position requires the ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods of time 
  • Position located in a mix of laboratory, pilot lab, warehouse, and office environments; requires a tolerance for high worker traffic, close quarters, noise, odors, dust, and varying room temperatures and lighting
