The FP&A Manager will partner closely with the Senior Director of FP&A and collaborate with the broader finance team. This role will assist with the development and execution of Pivot Bio’s FP&A capabilities including financial reporting, analytics and business models/cash projections and contribute to comprehensive, strategic thinking about capital allocation. It will require hands-on designing, managing, and administering end-to-end FP&A processes in a high-growth, high-potential environment.
Essential functions
- Prepare consolidated annual budget and monthly rolling forecasts identifying areas of opportunity or variability from expected outcomes.
- Own the global consolidated income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flow; manage stakeholders to deliver inputs in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
- Conduct financial modeling to support business case development, company performance measurement, and sensitivity analysis for business leadership.
- Contribute to the upgrade, development and implementation of core systems and processes, including FP&A software and dashboard tools.
- Enable value-added insight to business questions and proposals through analysis and reporting.
- Identify deviations and discrepancies within the 3-statement model and resolves through root cause analysis. High degree of self-autonomy is a must
- Identify key business drivers to enable scenario planning to project various outcomes and strategic actions
- Partners with the other members of the FP&A team to align corporate, function, and financial goals.
- Ability to influence without authority is a must.
- Present scenarios/models and influence at the highest level of the organization.
- Comfort with written and verbal communication to executive leadership is a must.
Required education and experience
- 8 years FP&A business partner, strategic consulting, accounting, or equivalent experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Knowledge of ERP systems and associated planning and reporting tools
- NetSuite and Adaptive a plus
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA a plus
- Broad knowledge of ERP functions/capabilities/tools in order to perform configuration and/or provide requirements to internal/external partners in order to reduce time spent modeling and/or to improve modeling capabilities to better reflect business operations
- Conceptual and practical experience with forecasting, financial analysis, three-statement financial modeling, operational analysis, performance analysis, and financial reporting to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial statements and processes.
- Travel required: Less than 5%

All remote positions and those not located in our Berkeley facility are paid based on National Benchmark data. Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
Hiring Compensation Range
$120,000—$140,000 USD
