We are seeking a highly effective and motivated Business Development and Sales Manager to join our growing US team!
This role will be based in the US as an extension of the commercial team, aiding in and owning deals across the Americas.
You will help foster relationships, shape contract negotiations to close deals, and provide feedback to the leadership and technical teams to identify market demands and trends.
Your inherent “hunter” mentality and lead generation expertise will enable you to quickly identify and qualify sales opportunities to build and maintain a pipeline for new business.
Proven success navigating complex sales will be key to consulting with our space customers and generating proposals to meet their unique components and subsystem needs 
.

As a Business Development and Sales Manager, your days will consist of researching, contacting, and working with businesses both small and large to develop relationships and close deals (inbound and outbound).
You will be the face of Dcubed at conferences, events, and customer sites.
You will learn the ins and outs of our patented space tech which enables our customers to get to space faster, better, and more cost-effectively.

Here is what you bring to the table: 
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in an engineering field 
  • 5+ years of technical engineering and sales experience  
  • Excellent technical communication skills  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding startup environment  
  • Flexibility for frequent travel, often at short notice  
  • A large network of space contacts, preferably to NewSpace technology/hardware companies  
  • A proven track record in closing deals and building longstanding customer relationships  
  • CRM experience (preferably Hubspot)  
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and desire to take initiative; willingness to proactively own new challenges and anticipate the needs of the team; has a learning mindset when faced with the unknown  
  • Team-first mentality and desire for collaboration; Willingness to work a-synchronously with the German office - core hours observed are in Mountain Time
  • Ability  to prioritize and manage workload  
  • Close attention to detail; strive for excellence when it matters   
  • CAD or simulation software such as SolidWorks, a plus

Eligibility Requirements: 
Onsite Preferred, Remote Considered: This position is primarily onsite/hybrid in Colorado; however, remote work arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis for the right candidate.
Please note that regular travel to Colorado will be required for remote employees Applicants must be a US person (citizen or Green Card Holder/permanent resident, or protected individual) 

Compensation and benefits 
Salary Range based on role, employee experience, and location: ($100,000 - $180,000) per year
