About Us:


Electric Era is designing, building, and testing PowerNode, a high power battery-enabled charging station to provide the necessary infrastructure needed for the affordable and timely electrification of transportation. Our high power charging stations and the software platform we build around them will be a critical infrastructure piece of the electrical grid and will complement the deployment of high-performance, low-cost, fast-charging infrastructure around America.


The Role:

You will have the opportunity to join us in this mission, take ownership in part of the open-ended problem of EV charging infrastructure, and execute the creation of end-to-end test infrastructure that will level up the industry’s definition of “highly reliable fast charging”. Your contributions will be critical to the long-term success of the company in making EV fast charging ubiquitous and affordable.


We are expanding our operations and looking for a skilled/versatile Production Technician to support the manufacturing and development of our innovative PowerNode™ EV charging stations. This role is critical in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality from assembly to delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical components of EV charging stations using schematics, assembly drawings and work instructions
  • Utilize Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software for process monitoring, control, and optimization, ensuring all production activities are aligned with our high standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, including assembly records, testing data, and quality checks
  • Collaborate with supply chain, software engineers and hardware engineering teams to stay ahead of schedule, implement design improvements and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality, employing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Actively participate in logistics activities including shipping and receiving, quality assurance and inventory control, using MES and ERP software
  • Mentor and educate other technicians  to continuously elevate the Electric Era Production team’s technical acumen 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

  • Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Relevant experience or certification may substitute
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the aerospace, automotive or high-tech industry.
  • Strong proficiency with electronic test equipment, hand tools, and assembly techniques
  • Experience with ERP and MES software, demonstrating an ability to manage material flow and production schedules effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc) and project management software
  • Forklift Operator Certified
  • Certifications such as, OSHA, electrical safety, soldering, harnessing and other relevant manufacturing certs.


Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year
