Octopus Energy has an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our incredible team in Coventry as Customer Onboarding Specialists. We’re not just providing energy – we’re transforming the industry by putting customers and the environment at the heart of everything we do.

As an Customer Onboarding Specialist, you’ll be the friendly voice on the other end of the line—the first point of contact for potential customers looking to join the Octopus Energy family.

Your mission?
To share your passion for green energy, guide customers through their journey, and help them make informed choices that benefit both their household and the planet. You’ll be a key player in promoting the very best of Octopus Energy, ensuring every interaction is personal, informative, and focused on the customer’s needs.
Sharing the exciting products and services that Octopus offers over the phone while happily addressing any questions or concerns.


What you'll do:

  • Lots of prospective new customers who are looking to join Octopus Energy will be calling and you will be the first point of contact. 
  • Speak with potential or existing customers to inform them about our products and services in a friendly manner.
  • Customer service is at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll be super friendly and dedicated to finding out exactly how you can help the customer with the skillset you'll acquire.
  • Be comfortable answering enquiries in volume - you're taking each customer on a journey of discovery. 
  • Onboard customers by assisting them to select the best tariff to suit their needs - you'll become an Octopus product guru!

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience working in fast-paced customer service, operations or telesales environments would be advantageous.
  • Clear communicator with a focus on listening and acute attention to detail.
  • Honest, focused, and committed to delivering the highest levels of customer service.
  • Adaptable personal style, able to receive constructive feedback on standards of performance - a willingness to always learn and grow
  • To be a quick learner due to exposure to different areas
  • Be open for a challenge - not all customers that come through are new customers and you may need to support some of our existing customers with their accounts.

Getting to this point would not have been possible without the commitment and hard work of everyone in the team.
