We are seeking a full-time Project Manager at our operation in Southwest Atlanta, Georgia! You will lead the team in the daily operations and general maintenance of the facility’s wastewater treatment and hazardous waste facilities, including managing the scope, schedule and budget of the facilities in accordance with contract requirements. Additional responsibilities include environmental compliance, employee safety, client relations and financial management. Successful candidates will have experience supervising staffs of operators, mechanics, lab technicians, and field service personnel. You must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, as required for emergency call outs.
What will you need to succeed?
- A minimum of ten years of experience as a wastewater facilities manager.
- Class I GA certification in wastewater treatment required or the ability to obtain within 18 months.
- Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Software products, and ability to use & learn various software programs [Hach WIMS, CMMS, and Utility Cloud.]
- Ability to manage and develop a team of 10 or more wastewater treatment plant Operators, Mechanics, and Haz Waste Technicians.
- Experience overseeing a budget of $1M or more.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record with regulators.
- High School graduate or equivalent, with technical/vocational school background. A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent a plus.
- Applicant must possess a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record and must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Applicant must be able to pass an extensive criminal history background check.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo a job-related physical examination, drug test and background check as a condition of employment. Any employment offer is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of this exam.
