What you’ll do: 

We are looking for an Investment Operations professional to contribute to the day-to-day portfolio accounting, trade management and project work of our Investment Operations team. 

More specifically you will: 

  • Maintain accurate portfolio accounting data through daily position, transaction and cost basis reconciliations in coordination with our third party vendor tools and services.
  • Execute on daily middle office functions including trading execution controls and reconciliations in partnership with current team members.
  • Act as a key point of contact for custodial statements and performance reporting inquiries in partnership with investments, product, engineering and investment strategy.
  • Support relationships with custodians, brokers, portfolio accounting and other service providers.
  • Ensure new clients and accounts are accurately onboarded and configured in our systems for trading, proxy voting, billing, and platform reporting.
  • Manage corporate action and electronic proxy voting on behalf of our clients.
  • Manage client billing process, in coordination with accounting team, including generation, processing, and reconciliation.
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers to analyze trading and workflow; suggest improvements to internal processes and services provided to clients.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering Teams to define areas of development for operational processes and controls, including defining requirements and testing.
  • Partner with our Client Team to understand Ethic client experience and how we can more effectively serve our Advisor clients.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • You have 2+ years of relevant experience in investment operations with risk and control experience at a registered broker dealer or asset manager.
  • You have a solid understanding of how reconciliations work, and have the ability to create a manual reconciliation as needed in Excel.
  • Experience using SS&C Advent’s APX software is a plus.
  • You’re an analytical and detail oriented problem solver, constantly learning and applying your knowledge to optimize processes, systems, controls and improve client experience.
  • You thrive under pressure, are comfortable managing competing priorities and adopt a risk and control mindset in your approach.
  • You are comfortable escalating critical issues as they arise and ensuring the appropriate parties are involved and are aware of the potential risks.
  • You’re a great communicator, able to explain operational details to a variety of stakeholders from business development, to engineers, to advisor clients.

Compensation & Benefits: 

Compensation at Ethic is a combination of base salary, equity (stock options) in the company, and benefits. 

The base salary for this role will range from $95,000-120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
