Sunwealth offices are located in Cambridge’s Porter Square and New York City’s Financial District. We work on a hybrid schedule, ideally three (3) days per week in one of these offices.
The Investor Development Senior Manager will play a key role in accelerating Sunwealth’s mission to build a better energy future. Supporting the Chief Financial Officer, this role will be focused on managing an existing pipeline of current investors, as well as building and managing a portfolio of new investors to help secure our annual capital raise target of ~$200 million. As a leader on the Investor Development team, this hire will also manage, mentor, and support junior colleagues who are members of the Investor Development and Marketing teams. Additionally, this role will support the strategic work of the Executive team and serve on cross-functional initiatives to advance Sunwealth’s continued growth and innovation, as well as ensuring it is a company where everyone can grow and succeed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead efforts to refine our investor development strategy, sales operations best practices and budget management to support annual company-wide goals and objectives
• Build, maintain and convert a robust portfolio of targeted prospective investors who are values-aligned and contribute to our overall capital raise objectives
• Create and update investor development materials as needed (including but not limited to presentation decks, offering materials, data rooms, etc.)
• Strategically identify PR, marketing events, conferences and other opportunities to elevate Sunwealth’s brand and product offerings
• Serve as a main point of contact for core investors (Banks, RIAs, Foundations, Endowments, DAFs) and provide support for larger institutional investors
• Nurture and maintain relationships with all investors within the portfolio to ensure that client service expectations are exceeded
• Lead new sales channel or verticals necessary to help secure capital for new product development
• Bring a ‘sales engineer’ mindset to the team to screen and triage deal flow based on Sunwealth’s investor criteria
• Report performance and result-oriented metrics weekly/monthly/quarterly to both the Investor Development and Executive teams
• Supervise, support and mentor junior Investor Development and Marketing colleagues to help them achieve performance goals, as well as foster their personal and professional development
DESIRED TRAITS/QUALIFICATIONS
• A demonstrated passion and understanding of the renewable energy market – and the opportunity to extend those benefits to typically underserved communities
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
• Ability to quickly evaluate investor fit and synthesize recommendations
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
• A committed team player, who is focused on collective outcomes, growth and success
• 7+ years’ work experience, with at least 5 years of directly relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to secure funding, and successfully manage relationships long-term
• Comfort with Salesforce (or similar CRMs) and investor reporting platforms is preferred
• Experience with public debt offerings is preferred
