Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to establish and grow the geophysical department.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within energy, environmental, and infrastructure sectors.
- Build strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and industry partners to drive business expansion.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
- Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and pricing strategies for geophysical projects.
- Collaborate with marketing and executive leadership to position the company as a leader in geophysical services.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and interpretation of geophysical surveys using seismic, gravity, magnetic, electrical, and electromagnetic methods.
- Guide the selection, deployment, and maintenance of cutting-edge geophysical equipment and software.
- Provide technical leadership for geophysical investigations related to natural resource exploration, environmental assessments, and infrastructure development.
- Ensure quality control in data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
- Lead research and innovation efforts to incorporate advanced geophysical techniques and emerging technologies.
- Build and manage a high-performing geophysical team, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Coordinate field operations and supervise technical personnel to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for geophysical data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in geophysical investigations, with a focus on business development or client management.
- Strong knowledge of geophysical survey techniques, data acquisition, and interpretation.
- Proven track record of securing and managing geophysical projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Experience with geophysical software and data processing tools.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, field projects, and industry events
