Position Summary
Ava is hiring a full-time Marketing Campaign Manager to lead integrated campaigns that drive customer awareness, engagement, and participation in assigned programs. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role collaborates across teams to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives. The Marketing Campaign Manager acts as the “quarterback” for cross-discipline campaigns, translating program goals and agency priorities into effective marketing strategies while actively managing execution.
This position includes people management responsibilities, requiring the ability to recruit, support, and oversee other campaign marketers. The incumbent serves as a thought partner and accountable lead for their team’s projects while managing their own. Key priorities include tracking and improving participation metrics, optimizing customer engagement channels, and enhancing the overall customer experience. Successful collaboration with both internal and external partners (including creative firms and implementation partners) is crucial to the success of this role.
Position Details
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in program development to help shape an on-brand customer experience and set realistic enrollment targets
Lead the effort across stakeholders to create an integrated campaign strategy and plan for all assigned projects
Design and implement multi-channel campaigns such as email, social media, direct mail, advertising, etc., tailored to specific target audiences
Develop and test messaging to elicit the best customer response
Align campaigns with broader Ava marketing activities through close coordination with the larger marketing team
Ensure compliance with budget and timeline, maintaining effective cost and schedule management throughout campaigns
Effectively communicate with the marketing team, as well as the broader cross-functional program group
Drive meetings and regular communications to track and communicate campaign status
Source and manage external vendors as needed
Evaluate the performance of campaigns using key metrics, analyze results against best-in-class examples, and recommend data-driven improvements
Mentor, support, and manage Marketing Associate and other staff/new hires, as assigned, while fostering a collaborative team environment
Perform other duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing customer-facing engagement campaigns
Proven ability to develop engaging messages, execute campaigns, track performance, and improve processes for successful customer acquisition/awareness building
Understanding of various marketing and sales touchpoints
Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to clearly and concisely convey important information to both team members and customers
Proven ability to apply creativity and innovative thinking to drive project success and develop unique solutions
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong project management skills, with a proven track of managing multiple projects simultaneously and driving them from start to finish
Flexibility to adapt plans in response to changes in schedule or priorities
Ability to interact with and influence diverse groups, including cross-functional peers, partners, and leadership
Demonstrated email marketing skills and experience
Result-driven with a focus on measurable outcomes
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and work collaboratively
Marketing automation tools experience
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is $161,057, with a Total Compensation of up to $177,163 annually based on performance.

Location and Working Conditions
This position will be based in Ava headquarters in Oakland, near BART. Ava's team has a hybrid approach inclusive of in-office and remote work. This role is expected to go into the office on Tuesday, Thursday, and the first Wednesday of the month. We are not providing sponsorships currently.
