About the Role
Easy Solar is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This role will manage a team and be responsible for planning, procurement, office operations & inbound logistics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining operational efficiency across the entire inbound supply chain.
Additionally, the role involves running a Sales & Operations Planning process to support our fast-growing, multi-country business.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability across all stock holding locations.
- Optimize warehouse and distribution strategies to reduce lead times and costs.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align supply chain planning with sales, production, and financial goals.
Procurement & Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and service agreements with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
Inbound Logistics & Inventory Management:
- Manage inbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-efficient transportation.
- Coordinate customs clearance and regulatory compliance for imports.
- Develop and oversee inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Work with logistics providers to streamline shipping, tracking, and warehousing processes.
Office Operations & Administration:
- Oversee procurement of office supplies, equipment, and services to support daily operations.
- Ensure efficient office administration, including vendor management, lease agreements, and facility maintenance.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Goals & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Inventory Optimization: Maintain an optimal inventory turnover ratio to minimize holding costs and reduce stockouts.
- Supplier Performance Management: Ensure 95% on-time delivery rate from suppliers and maintain quality compliance.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Achieve a 10% reduction in procurement and logistics costs annually without compromising quality.
- Operational Efficiency: Reduce inbound lead time by 20% through improved logistics and supplier coordination.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure 100% compliance with import/export regulations and company policies.
- Team Development: Percentage of team members meeting development goals 100%
- Customer Satisfaction: Satisfaction rating from internal stakeholders regarding procurement and planning services ≥ 90% satisfaction
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in supply chain management or any of the Supply Chain Certification (e.g., APICS, CIPS, CSCMP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, demand planning, and supplier negotiations.
- Experience in import/export regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems [odoo knowledge is a plus]
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally, and influence other supply chain functions.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives.
