Team Leader

About this opportunity

The Team Leader coordinates the operational aspects of the production area of responsibility to deliver all agreed targets for the business including EHSR compliance and behavioural excellence, continuous improvement of all aspects of operational excellence including quality, plant reliability, housekeeping, productivity and waste.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Building a culture where safe behaviour and adherence to site/business policies is part of the everyday.
• Working collaboratively with the Site Operations Manager to implement best practise operational processes across the Site.
• Creating a work environment that our people are proud of and that rates as our customers’ best supplier.
• Enhancing the levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Continuously improving overall operational performance levels measured by safe behaviour, quality, plant reliability, machine performance, delivery reliability, responsiveness and cost control/reduction.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

• Minimum 3 years Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of health and safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Proven experience leading a team of 15 to 20 in a compassionate people-focused manner.
• Proficient in MS Office, with SAP experience being an advantage.
• Proven effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with a demonstrable focus on customer service.
