At Verterra Energy, we're on a mission to harness the power in the world's rivers, canals and oceans. To accomplish this, we are commercializing our first device called VOLTURNUS, a pioneering water-power technology that deploys in harmony with the current to capture baseload, zero emission electricity. Backed by top-tier investors and a multi-year government contract, we are growing our founding team to help achieve key milestones.
This opportunity will require relocation to the Greater Minneapolis area, at the cost of the company, upon offer being extended and accepted.
Program Overview
As a SkillBridge fellow or intern, you will be embedded within functional and cross functional teams directly supporting our primary line of business, Volturnus. You will be equipped, trained, and treated as one of us. The ideal program length is 90-150 days but there鈥檚 flexibility with timelines. An individualized Skillbridge Plan is created with each candidate to ensure they acquire or improve skills and get the experience and exposure necessary for a successful transition from active-duty service. Candidates are matched to teams within engineering and operations and involved in day-to-day events and tasks. If you鈥檇 like to learn more or get more experience in the areas of marine engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, program management, while working for and alongside experts in these domains, Verterra Energy is the place for you.
Requirements
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or similar technical degree
- Excellent analytical skills
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills
- US Citizenship is required
