JOB SUMMARY:

Accountant will be responsible for assisting the Finance department with various finance related duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

Accounting Banking and Intercompany

Coding of monthly charge invoices Resolve on queries and issues. Full responsibility with Intercompany Reconciliations Full responsibility with the recharge process with the US Assist in GST returns. Preparation of audit schedules for the annual financial audits for AUS & NZ and answering queries Assist in annual and quarterly parts and machine stocktake.

Accounts Payable and Concur

Backup Concur Process, Expenses and Uploads Assist in expense and Fringe Benefits Tax compliance. Coordinating with external auditors and staff and preparing schedules for the annual FBT return. Assist in Random Audits of Expense Payments to ensure compliance. Assist in timely establishment of vendors and control of supplier master files and records. Backup for Accounts Payable.

Month End and Forecasting Account Duties

Updates month end reconciliation files (Interco etc) Reconcile Freight AP Invoices Analysing uplift rates on a quarterly basis Assist in preparing forecasts and annual budget. Assisting the Director of finance on projects Assist in queries and month end analysis.

General

Adhere to all Health and Safety polices to ensure a safe working environment. Answer queries efficiently and promptly Liaise with branches and staff throughout the organisation to drive a finance service and support function. Travel where necessary Any other duties as requested by Director of Finance or Finance Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Successful candidate has a completed a degree in the field of Accounting.

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively handle a number of competing tasks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • CPA / CAA qualifications desirable or will undertake qualifications.
