Founded in Berlin, autarc is a 30 person start-up who have just graduated from the Y Combinator in San Francisco. Our team consists of people in Sales, Tech and Operations, with the Engineering department currently 11 people and looking to grow to 14 by Q3 2025. Role description
You will be working alongside the CEO, CTO and other Engineers to help design and improve the core product, with a specific focus on the user interface and user experience. As we have several squads building out the Heat Pump, Solar, Mobility and ERP products, we need to work on things such as a flawless brand experience, when using our software in your day to day life as a craftsman. You will act as a connecting link between the Design team, which consists of four Designers, and our software squads.
This work will mostly consist of building UI widgets and improving existing interfaces to reach full design consistency. Further, you will make sure our design system is aligned with our live software.
As a Senior within the team, you will be responsible for leading Engineering initiatives and be in charge of some heavy UI lifting. Other responsibilities will include:

As a Senior within the team, you will be responsible for leading Engineering initiatives and be in charge of some heavy UI lifting. Other responsibilities will include:
- Focusing on flawless Frontend designs and UI
- Interacting with the Design team to improve UX
- Be hands-on in designing, coding and testing cycles for both existing and new features
- Building and maintaining our website (Webflow)
- Develop B2B SaaS applications
- Have a high level of responsibility to turn ideas into performant and reliable code
- 3-5+ years of experience working for multiple start-ups
- An obsession with pixel perfect Design
- Direct involvement in building SaaS products
- Experience with TypeScript, React, TailwindCSS, Webflow, Storybook
- Experience with Design tools such as Figma is a nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud databases such as Postgres (Supabase) is a nice to have
- Experience with Docker, GitHub and fly.io is a nice to have
- Based in Berlin with a willingness to work hybrid (office in Mitte)
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
