Where you’ll work:

Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person. 

You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

We are looking for individuals who can help shape the future of the Energy Operations team and ensure that we are prepared for changes in the energy Industry. This is a vital role that will enable us to successfully overcome the challenges of an ever changing marketplace.

 

This role in a nutshell:

The Supplier  Performance Manager is a critical role, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and operational efficiency of our third-party partners. They will provide clear reporting and tracking for performance, and be responsible for highlighting trends and themes as well as communicating performance to the necessary senior stakeholders. Where performance drops outside of SLA performance, the TP Lead recommends and assists in the execution of compliant or quality solutions and approaches which enable OVO’s ongoing operational success.

We’re looking for an experienced  lead to drive and innovate performance with our key suppliers, helping  operations to achieve our ambitious vision. This role will determine how we optimise our Operational performance by working more effectively with external partners.  Energy Ops vision is to  drive Customer advocacy by getting it right first time, every time for every Customer, whilst protecting and securing our Revenue. We operate in a world with so many partners that it’s critical to ensure clear strategic alignment and innovation in this space.

Working closely with our Operations teams, this role helps to lead OVO into its next phase of growth and is integral to help us optimise our operation. You will help monitor the effectiveness of third parties, Implement governance to drive progress and act as a collaborative outreach to  partners. All in the name of servicing our customers, focusing on the end to end resolution in the shortest timeframe. 

 

Your key outputs and objectives will be:

  • Development and implementation of a partner roadmap to drive efficiency as well as align to strategic initiatives
  • Monitor and manage the day to day operational performance of third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon service level agreements and KPIs
  • Identify and address any performance gaps, implementing corrective actions and improvement initiatives
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to third-parties
  • Proactively anticipate and mitigate potential operational risks and disruptions associated with our third party services
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive performance dashboards and reportings, tracking key metrics and trends
  • Analyse performance data to identify areas of improvements and optimisation
  • Drive output of our offshore partners aligned to business objectives, working collaboratively to ensure we act end to end as one team
  • Remove waste between onshore, offshore and third parties looking for opportunities to max efficiency in handover and workflow models
  • Driving efficiency in our key third parties to drive down costs and increase throughput
  • Generate regular performance reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all performance reporting
  • Track and manage budgets, ensuring adherence to allocated resources
  • Monitor supplier invoices and expenses, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Contribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts for third-party services
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for our third parties, fostering strong and collaborative relationships
  • Conduct and lead regular meetings and communication with third parties, to address performance issues and discuss opportunities to improve
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in third-party performance management
  • Lead on change projects relating to third parties ensuring impact/ benefits are understood within the Operation

 

You’ll be a successful Supplier Performance Manager at OVO if you…

  • Show proven experience of driving benefit via third party quality and performance management with proven delivery of minimising waste and process failure
  • Develop productive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and are capable of influencing
  • Have proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with change and ambiguity
  • Have an ambitious spirit, you'll need to be proactive, and someone who is always up for a challenge
  • Love being close to the customer- and are able to see how all processes drive Customer benefit or detriment
  • Have experience in dealing with third party partners
  • Are an excellent communicator. Your communication skills give you the ability to convey your ideas effectively, tailoring the communication to audiences at all levels of the organisation

We’ll pay you between £43,500 and £50,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
