Position Summary:
The EVgo Asset Management Department maintains EVgo’s electric vehicle charging network exceeding daily uptime metrics. The Field Service Manager will lead the EVgo Field Service group to support the maintenance and functionality of EVgo sites. The incumbent is responsible for all escalated field service issues and assuring EVgo required safety, uptime, and quality. The role will require supervision, training, and support of EVgo field service technicians and third-party service personnel. This position serves as the service lead for escalated questions and inquiries pertaining to field activities. This role will be split between the field and the office per the requirements of the operation. The incumbent reports to the Director of Asset Management.
Responsibilities:
- Support and manage field service work for internal and external maintenance teams
- Manage, support, train and build out maintenance teams
- Develop maintenance method(s) and procedures for equipment repairs
- Create work shifts and assign duties to field employees to ensure efficient operations
- Monitor key metrics and develop action plans for improvement
- Accountable for time, quality, cost of maintenance per direct report and their administration of these duties
- Manage maintenance workflow queue and collaborate with NOC team on issues and issue count
- Collaborate and support NOC team to close out and own escalated issues
- Stay up to date on all field equipment
- Develop, review, and maintain up-to-date field service training manuals
- Manage document library, service manuals, and charger / site abnormalities tracker
- Engage with third-party vendors on new EVSE designs, upgrades, and improvements
- Deploys hardware and software improvements adhering to business requirements and technology standards
- Participates in projects and installation tasks for accurate operational outcomes
- Review third-party field service quality and uptime support
- Support job costing and invoice approval of field projects (research of warranty and SLAs to ensure the most cost-efficient repairs with minimal timelines for decision making)
- Conduct, review and/or validate equipment testing
- Expedite operations that delay response or repair times; facilitate continuous improvements
- Position requires incumbent to be on call to support and assist in emergency situations
Qualifications:
- Required Skills/Experience:
- Electrician or electrical repair experience 5+ years
- Electric Vehicle Charging Repair Experience 1+ years
- Operations Management experience in the field
- Ability to work under pressures
- Excellent Time management able to meet operations goals under deadlines
- Highly motivated and results oriented
- Strategic and problem-solving skills
Additional Information:
- Position will require up to 50% travel
- Candidate will need to qualify to drive company vehicle
- Work may be in the field or in the office
- Lifting and carrying equipment upwards of 45lbs
The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000 USD to $105,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
