As SIOP Lead, you will improve the integration of sales, inventory, and operations planning processes. You will work across various departments to create a balanced and accurate plan that supports our goals and maximizes operational efficiency. We are looking for a blend of cross-functional leadership, and operational expertise to lead planning.
You will report to the Director of Stack Operations and this position will be based in Devens, MA.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end SIOP process, ensuring the understanding of sales forecast, inventory levels, and operational plans to create accurate demand forecasts and capacity plans
Coordinate with technology and manufacturing engineering teams to map the product roadmap for operational plans
Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure capacity and material availability to meet demand, develop clear to build reports and dashboards that highlight ability to build bill of materials (BOM) based on inventory (on-hand, on-order, to-be-ordered)
Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, unexpected demand fluctuations, and other operational challenges
Lead efforts to improve SIOP processes to ensure effectiveness, focus on process continuous improvement, taking a 5Y approach to develop short-term containment, and long-term permanent corrective actions
Outline and release process documents that capture process RASIC and flow charts
Review inventory and demand performance data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
Collaborate with the procurement team on inventory optimization efforts to balance flexibility with cost-efficient inventory management
Collaborate with the supply chain team to integrate the procurement steps into the SIOP process to improve visibility post-BOM release
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure SIOP process aligns with financial goals
Facilitate regular meetings, ensuring all relevant departments are aligned on important metrics, action items, and timelines
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the SIOP team and across the organization - work in the "margins" to help build connective tissue from a process perspective between adjacent functions and teams
Prior Experience and Professional Qualities
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in SIOP, demand planning, supply chain management, or related functions
Advanced Excel, VB skills, and familiarity with data analysis tools with a competency in building planning tools
Collaboration experience across various levels
Understanding of complex products (hardware and software releases), agile product lifecycle management (PLM), and change management processes
Startup environment experience
Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Experience with electrolyzers or similar electrochemical systems
