JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Must hold and maintain active Virginia Journeyman License 
•    The ability to read and understand commercial building blueprints
•    Knowledge of basic commercial wiring methods
•    General project Electrical works/installation
•    Prior to the start of a project, evaluate job sites and electrical infrastructure, participate in pre-construction planning with the PM and Superintendent to review plans and coordinate schedules, staffing and resource needs for the project
•    During construction, lead and facilitate code compliant electrical work on  BESS and Solar projects. This work will include installing wiring, conduit, enclosures, switch gear, lighting, main service replacements, sub panels, and transformers.
•    Test and commission electrical equipment.
•    Assess safety hazards, conduct safety training, ensure job site safety and satisfy OSHA requirements.
•    Ensure electrical PPE, tools and equipment assigned are maintained in good working condition or replaced as required.
•    Comfortable working with 600v-1500v systems and medium-voltage devices
•    Installing, operating and/or maintaining commercial/large scale Photovoltaic systems, inverters and data acquisition systems (DAS)
•    Understanding of the NEC codes that relate to BESS and PV installations
•    Assist with layout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardware
•    Understanding of mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment for Solar and BESS
•    Electrical wiring of BESS system (AC and DC)
•    Diagnose and repair Solar/BESS systems and electrical components
•    Provide on-site troubleshooting for Solar/BESS systems
•    Participate in all aspects of underground utility installation including the use of a hand shovel and any equipment associated with the installation
•    Participates in training and meetings 
•    Willingness to assist with non-electrical and DC side work
•    Participate in a daily PTP for all scopes of work 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
•    VA Journeyman License required
•    Utility scale solar and/or BESS experience preferred
•    Advanced pipe bending skills (at least ½ inch through 1-inch EMT)
•    Working knowledge of NEC electrical codes and experience reading blue prints, plans and manufacturer specs
•    Able to work in varying temperatures and weather 
•    Ability to pass background check and pre-employment and random drug screenings 

•    Accountable, self-motivated, and able to work without supervision
•    Willing and able to travel based on the needs of the business
•    Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
•    Demonstrates the ability to perform work in a fast-paced labor intensive environment
•    Able to identify design or install issues 
•    Ability to track and manage materials and counts weekly  
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
•    Ability to work in extreme environments, cold, winter weather, hot sun, rain
•    Able to work in confided spaces and trenches
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•    Stand for long periods of time.
•    Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
•    Bend or twist their body.
•    Repeat the same movements.
•    Climb ladders, or poles.
•    Pull and install heavy cabling/conduit 
•    Work in tight areas inside enclosures 
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
•    This is a full-time position
•    Overtime may be required

•    Willing and able to travel based on the needs of the business
