Your tasks
  • Develop and implement Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) for innovative energy solutions, such as battery & PV simulations, forecasting models, and optimization tools

  • Research and experiment with new technologies, algorithms, and models in the energy sector

  • Collaborate with the core tech team to ensure seamless integration of PoCs into our core products - Our technology stack is primarily Node.js-heavy, with NestJS on the backend and React on the frontend

  • Design and implement APIs and microservices to support real-time analytics and data-driven decision-making

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features

  • Work on a variety of topics rather than a single long-term project, ensuring a high level of diversity and learning opportunities

  • Please note: This is an on-site position for our Munich office.

Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in energy informatics, business informatics, electrical engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field

  • Experience with back-end development using Node.js, Java, or similar languages

  • Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB

  • Experience with (real time) data processing, modeling, and simulation (e.g., time-series forecasting, energy system modeling)

  • Solid understanding of APIs, cloud services, and how software integrates into larger systems

  • Knowledge of scalable architectures and microservices design

  • Excited about working in an R&D environment, where priorities may shift, and solutions evolve rapidly
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with energy-related concepts (battery storage, PV, grid infrastructure & optimization, power systems, etc.),  and energy management or analytics platforms

  • Foundation in DevOps & Cloud Native practices

  • Experience with machine learning models and their application in energy forecasting

  • Hands-on experience with IoT, sensor data, or real-time data processing

  • Exposure to DevOps tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
