For our next phase of growth, we are seeking an Events & Social Media Manager to own the planning and execution of in-person industry events, virtual events, and to engage and grow our social media community. As a member of our Revenue Team, you’ll collaborate with marketing, sales and customer success to ensure events and social media drive value. HData is participating in 15+ events in 2025, and hosting one to three webinars per month.
About the Role
As HData’s Events & Social Media Manager, you will:
Own the planning and execution of HData presence at industry events, including booth logistics, speaking opportunities, and HData-hosted events such as luncheons and receptions
Ensure teams are set up for success at events with organized planning and communication about schedules, logistics, event resources and marketing assets
Manage pre-event and post-event communication plans with event attendees, including phone calls, emails and LinkedIn outreach, in collaboration with Business Development Representatives
Own event reporting metrics to measure success of event investments
Identify and vet new potential event opportunities
Plan and execute webinars, ranging from thought leadership discussions on energy topics, to product webinars that help educate both customers and prospects
Own social media strategy and execution and deliver relevant and meaningful content, including new ways to creatively drive engagement and growth
Events & Social Media Manager Requirements:
5+ years of experience owning event management for a B2B company and partnering closely with sales teams
Successful track record of organizing and managing the many details of successful event presence
Excellent writing skills and demonstrated ability to communicate compelling value propositions to event attendees
Social media management experience for B2B audiences with demonstrated ability to create a LinkedIn social media strategy and generate compelling, relevant content for LinkedIn
HubSpot proficiency to manage event pages on HData website, event reporting and contact lists
Zoom Webinar proficiency to create and host virtual events
B2B software experience preferred; Presenting software solutions at an event is different than physical or consumer products
Energy industry experience preferred; Knowing the landscape of energy industry events and attendees, and ability to identify and vet new opportunities for events is a huge plus

The compensation for this position is $80,000 to $100,000, including bonus. This position is remote with twice per year travel to in-person team meetings.
Some event travel may be required to provide support for larger events. This position is open to U.S. based individuals available during Central Time business hours.
