Job Description
At Verterra Energy, we're on a mission to harness the power in the world's rivers, canals and oceans. To accomplish this, we are commercializing our first device called VOLTURNUS, a pioneering water-power technology that deploys in harmony with the current to capture baseload, zero emission electricity.
Backed by top-tier investors and a multi-year government contract, we are growing our founding team to help achieve key milestones. We have also recently partnered with NIRON, DoD, DoE, University of Minnesota, WEG Group, Beckhoff, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and the US Army Corp of Engineers!
We're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering with a broad range of experience including power electronics, low and medium power electronics, distribution as well as micro electronics and circuit board design. The ideal candidate will be proficient in electrical system design and analysis, including power electronics and energy storage systems.

Requirements
- U.S. citizens only
- Bachelors or an advanced degree in a related engineering discipline
- 5+ years professional experience
- Ability to contribute as an IC in respect to power electronics, microelectronics or a combination of the two.
- Experience with motors or generators
- Understanding of both AC and DC electrical systems
- PV power generation experience is a plus
- Ability to specify electrical system components including cables and connectors
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with existing Electrical Engineering team
- Assist in managing electrical vendors
- Development of multiple scales of generators and electronics
- Assist in program Reporting
- Ability to pivit and work multiple programs
